OLA sweeps St. Patrick

Hannah Gest had 29 assists, 19 points and eight aces as Our Lady Academy defeated St. Patrick 25-8, 25-16 and 25-3 on Thursday night. Emma Funk, Sun Herald’s reigning player of the year, had 19 kills. Alia Tayara added 16 points and five aces for OLA, now 17-3, 2-0 in Class I, Division 8.

Ocean Springs sweeps D’Iberville: Payton Emperley had 12 assists and seven aces as the Lady Greyhounds won 25-3, 25-12, 25-13. Amelia Moore had 11 aces and five kills. Dougless St. Amant had nine kills. Abby Murrell had 11 assists, Chloe Coulter added seven kills for the Lady Greyhounds (10-8, 2-0).

Vancleave sweeps Pascagoula: The Lady Bulldogs (20-5, 4-0) won 25-13, 25-8, 25-11 as Paige Davis had 28 service points and six aces. Payton McKerchie had seven kills. Carly Danley had eight kills and 10 digs.

East Central sweeps Gautier: The Lady Hornets prevailed 25-10, 25-15, 25-18, as Alexis Laughlin had 19 assists and nine digs. Madison Pearson had eight aces. Blake Leviner had nine kills and eight aces.

Long Beach sweeps Pass Christian: The Lady Bearcats (6-3, 4-1) won 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 as Katherine Boettner’s 10 assists and four aces. Bridgett McMillian added eight kills and three blocks.

Harrison Central defeats Gulfport: The Red Rebelettes won in five sets: 25-18, 20-25, 28-26, 22-25, 15-11. Natasha Feyjoo led the way with 18 kills.


Harrison Central 5, West Harrison 0: Ashley Arnold had two hits and three RBI. Alyssa Brown and Amari Ramsey each had two hits for the Red Rebelettes (10-1, 3-1)
