Final field set for Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic

The Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic will have one of its strongest fields this year.

The entire 81-player field for the MGRC was announced Friday. The MGRC, part of the PGA Champions Tour, will be held on April 1-3 at Fallen Oak in Saucier.

Defending MGRC champion David Frost headlines a talented field, including former event champions Jeff Maggert, Michael Allen and Fred Couples. World Golf Hall of Fame members Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Larry Nelson have also committed to play in the MGRC.

The field features 27 of the Top 30 on the current Charles Schwab Cup Money List, includes sponsor exemptions Roger Chapman, Mike Goodes, Blaine McCallister, Gary Hallberg and Grant Waite. Roger Chapman is a two-time PGA TOUR Champions major winner, capturing the 2012 U.S. Senior Open and the 2012 Senior PGA Championship.
