Westin Graves missed a 28 yard field goal with six seconds remaining as Mississippi State lost to South Alabama 21-20 on Saturday at Davis-Wade Stadium.

It’s one of the worst losses in school history.

After South Alabama took a 21-20 lead, MSU reached South Alabama’s 20 yard line for a game winning field goal attempt. Graves missed the 28 yard attempt after making a career-long 47-yarder earlier.

MSU led 17-0 at halftime.
