Mississippi State commit Cameron Myers transfers to Eastern Arizona College
Former Mississippi State commit Cameron Myers has left Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and opted to transfer to Eastern Arizona College.
Myers, a former Oak Grove standout, committed to MSU during the 2015 recruiting cycle but ended up in Perkinston.
Listed as an athlete on Gulf Coast's roster, Myers had intentions of trying to play quarterback at the college level but instead moved to the defensive secondary.
Myers played in nine of Gulf Coast's 11 games as a freshman, but he never truly found his footing on defense and finished with 13 tackles and one interception.
With the EAC Monsters, Myers, who enrolled at EAC in January, will once again get a shot to play quarterback. If that doesn't work out, he'll end up back in the defensive secondary.
Mid-way through last season, Myers reaffirmed his commitment to the Bulldogs to the Clarion-Ledger. It remains unclear where he stands with MSU after a series of coaching changes in Starkville this offseason.
