1. Alabama (Previous Rank: 1): All that hubub from Nick Saban about Charleston Southern and the Tide rips 'em 56-6. I guess they were who most thought they were.

2. Mississippi State (4): Depending on your perspective, Saturday's 51-50 win was either one of the most entertaining or nerve wracking games of the year for MSU.

3. Ole Miss (7): The Rebels set a match to Les Miles' seat with Saturday's 38-17 win. QB Chad Kelly continued to impress, running when it was needed and making good choices through the air.

4. Florida (2): A win is a win, but man they really almost blew it against Florida Atlantic. This team is not the same as the Will Grier-led Gators who beat Ole Miss. FSU and (probably) Alabama should make steaks out of the Gators in the coming weeks.

5. Arkansas (4): The Hogs had the game won if the right side of the kick protection had done its job. Instead of feeling the rush of victory, Saturday probably more closely resembled a kick to the groin for Arkansas.

6. LSU (5): The Tigers continue their free fall. Penalties really did in LSU in Oxford. Also, it's never a good thing when rumors of your coach fighting for his job pop up.

7. Georgia (6): See Florida. A win is a win, but what if Georgia Southern had actually pulled off the upset over "big brother" in Athens?

8. Texas A&M (9): Saturday was an odd game for an offensive Aggies squad. Outside of a 95-yard touchdown strike from QB Kyle Allen, the Aggies settled for six field goals.

9. Tennessee (8): The Volunteers were supposed to be a high-flying team this season. They're currently 7-4 and beat a wounded Missouri team 19-8.

10. Auburn (10): The Tigers will take a win anyway they can get 'em, but giving up 34 points to Idaho -- including two fourth-quarter touchdowns?

11. Vanderbilt (11): The Commodores were absolutely no match for an Aggies team still trying to figure things out this late in the season.

12. Missouri (13): The Tigers couldn't win two in a row for out-going coach Gary Pinkel, losing to Tennessee 19-8. It was nice of the players to carry him off the field, though.

13. South Carolina (12): The Gamecocks hit a season low Saturday, losing to The Citadel (8-3) 23-22.

14. Kentucky (14): It's nice to blow out one of the worst teams in college football, but it won't help in the rankings.
