Mississippi Gulf Coast catcher/designated hitter Brian Lane has been named the MACJC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Lane, who was also named NJCAA Division II Player of the Week earlier this season, batted .571 with a home run and six RBI in four games. He had hits in all four games to extend an 11-game hitting streak.
The Delta State signee went 4-for-5 with 2 RBIs in a 6-2 win at Southwest.
He also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in an 11-10 loss in extra innings at Northwest before slugging a home run to tie the game in a 2-1 win in the nightcap.

Lane has raised his batting average to a team-leading .411. He also leads the Bulldogs with 12 doubles and has driven in 29 runs.
