The Pearl River Community College Wildcats are champions of the junior college baseball world.

Pearl River defeated Madison College of Wisconsin on Saturday, 7-2, and took the series two games to one.

The Wildcats scored the final seven runs of Game 3, three of them coming from West Harrison grad D.K. Donaldson’s bat. Donaldson had three hits in the game, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Donaldson had eight hits in the three-game series. Another former Hurricane, Tate Parker, teed off the scoring for the Wildcats Saturday with a solo home run in the sixth inning.
