NJCAA honors Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College forward

The NJCAA selected Mississippi Gulf Coast forward Davion Cole-Johnson its Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The sophomore averaged 30.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in two games last week for the Bulldogs.

“I didn’t think I’d get that,” Cole-Johnson said in a press release. “I’ve been working hard. That’s real big.”

The Bulldogs (12-2, 4-1 South Division) entertain Pearl River (10-4, 2-3) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.
