Pearl River Community College snapped its three-game losing streak Thursday, up-ending Hinds 42-20 to pick up its first win of the David Saunders era.
Darious Leggett sparked the PRCC (1-3) offense with three touchdown runs and 193 yards rushing. He broke two 3-yard runs and also had an 8-yard score.
Caleb Kinlaw scored on a 3-yard run and Sloan Spiller caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Tim Arnold. Arnold, making his first collegiate start, also threw a 20-yard touchdown to Kinlaw and finished with 84 yards passing.
The Wildcats stumbled to open the Saunders era with losses to Northeast, Northwest and East Central, but Thursday’s win could go a long way in adding confidence. PRCC will look to add to its winning ways Thursday against Itawamba at 6 p.m.
