American Sports Network will again carry the most Southern Miss football games in 2016, the school announced on Wednesday.

Conference USA announced its preliminary TV schedule for the 2016 football season and USM's eight televised contests will appear on ASN, ESPN's networks and C-USA's newest TV partner, beIN SPORTS.

The season opener at Kentucky will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 and be carried on ESPN. The Nov. 25 Louisiana Tech game, which will be in Hattiesburg, will also be televised on ESPN's networks, but a channel and start time were not announced Wednesday.

The two games on beIN SPORts are the Sept. 17 home game against Troy, which will start at 6 p.m., and the Nov. 19 game at North Texas, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m.

The Oct. 8 game at UTSA (11 a.m.), Oct. 29 homecoming contest against Marshall (6 p.m.), Nov. 5 game against Charlotte (2:30 p.m.) and Nov. 12 game at Old Dominion (2:30 p.m.) will all be on ASN.

American Sports Network games are typically carried on local affiliates.

More games could be added to the television schedule.

The Dec. 3 C-USA title game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The recently announced C-USA television deal includes ESPN, CBS Sports Network, beIN SPORTS and American Sports Network.
