Date moved for Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech football game

The Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech football game has been moved to accommodate national television, Conference USA announced on Friday.

The game has been moved from Saturday, Nov. 26, to Friday, Nov. 25, at Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg. The game time and TV network will be announced at a later date.

A Conference USA contest featuring Western Kentucky and Marshall has aired at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports 1 the day after Thanksgiving the last two years.

The Golden Eagles open the 2016 football season on Sept. 3 at Kentucky.

USM will hold its first spring game under new head coach Jay Hopson at noon on April 23 at Roberts Stadium.
