Report: Southern Miss, UL-Monroe schedule football home-and-home in 17-18

Southern Miss and Louisiana-Monroe have scheduled a football home-and-home series for 2017-18, FBSchedules.com reported Wednesday.

USM will travel to ULM on Sept. 16, 2017, and ULM will come to Hattiesburg on Sept. 8, 2018. The teams will swap $200,000 guarantees, according to the report.

USM holds a 3-1 lead in the all-time series with USM winning the last contest, 44-37, in 1993.

USM was originally scheduled to play Tennessee on Sept. 16, 2017, meaning that game will be moved to another date that year.

The report also said that Savannah State will travel to USM for a Sept. 10, 2016, game, receiving $325,000 for the trip.
