Southern Miss kicker Stephen Brauchle, a Gulfport native, has been named Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week after making all four his field goal tries Saturday in a 32-10 win over Texas-San Antonio.

The junior's field goals were 25, 22, 20 and a season-long 39 yards.

Brauchle is 7-of-9 on field goal tries this season

Brauchle was a first-team all-state selection as a senior at Gulfport High School in 2011. Before arriving at USM, he kicked at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC in 2012 and Louisiana-Lafayette in 2013.
