Southern Miss has offered a scholarship to Northwest Mississippi Community College running back Justin Crawford, according to NWCC's twitter account.

Crawford was offered by the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Crawford has run 116 times for 784 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

A native of Columbus, Ga., Crawford was an NJCAA Second-Team All-American last season after running for 1,551 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.
USM will have a couple of spots to fill in its backfield following the graduation of a pair of senior running backs, Jalen Richard and Justice Hayes.
Plant, Fla., running back Patrick Brooks is receiving a redshirt this season and sophomore Tez Parks also appears on pace to receive a redshirt with no action through four games.
