USM, Bama, Miami and $1,000 tickets? What to know about the Hattiesburg regional

Hattiesburg is set to host its fourth NCAA baseball tournament regional, bringing fans from across the South to the Hub City. Southern Miss is hosting as the national No. 16 seed and Sun Belt Conference tournament runner-up.

Joining the Golden Eagles are 2-seed Alabama, 3-seed Miami and 4-seed Columbia. Each of the top three seeds arrive as at-large bids while the Lions punched their ticket through an Ivy League championship.

Pete Taylor Park has a listed capacity of 4,300, but has exceeded that number at least 28 times and has a record attendance of 6,346 thanks to plenty of standing room.

Season ticket holders received first priority ticket opportunities for 48 hours before sales opened to the public. All-session tickets will cost $120 each for chairback seating and $100 for all-session general admission and wheelchair seating. Students from each institution can get general admission tickets for $50.

Tickets have already leaked onto the aftermarket and have sold for over $1,000. At the same source, the cheapest ticket for Alabama vs Miami is $35 while the cheapest for USM vs Columbia is $139.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Hattiesburg regional, including schedule, tickets and how to watch.
