The Hattiesburg regional features some local flare with the LSU Tigers set to join Southern Miss in the double-elimination bracket.
The Golden Eagles are winners of the Conference USA regular season title and come in with a 43-16 record. LSU is 38-20 and leave the SEC with a 17-13 conference record.
Southern Miss is one of the best pitching teams in the country, while LSU is one of baseball’s top home run hitting teams. If and when the two collide this weekend, it’ll be must-see TV.
Army and Kennesaw State are also in the regional after winning their respective leagues.
All games will be broadcast on ESPN+. The poll closes when the regional begins Friday at 1 p.m.
