There will be another Favre suiting up for Southern Miss for the 2017-18 school year.
Oak Grove volleyball standout Breleigh Favre recently verbally committed to play at Southern Miss, according to her high school coach, Celeste Vial.
Breleigh is the daughter of Southern Miss legend Brett Favre, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 7.
Breleigh stands 6 feet tall and is an outside hitter for the Lady Warriors. She record 85 kills, seven blocks and 31 aces to help lead Oak Grove to the state semifinals last season.
Oak Grove, which is located in Hattiesburg, is off to a 20-3 start for the 2016 season.
The 17 year old has been receiving significant recruiting interest and made a visit to Pepperdine last year.
Breleigh has competed as a member of the Eastern Shore Volleyball Club, a national travel team based out of Daphne, Ala.
The USM volleyball team has been one of the more competitive programs in Conference USA in recent years. The Lady Eagles are 11-4 so far this season under head coach Amanda Berkley.
