Biloxi Shuckers right-hander Adrian Houser underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on Thursday in Milwaukee, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Houser hadn't pitched since June 23 and was 3-7 with a 5.25 ERA in 13 starts at Biloxi this year. He is set to have a 12-18 month recovery period.

Houser is a Tahlequah, Okla. native, who was a second-round selection by the Houston Astros in 2011.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Houser was acquired by the Brewers in a trade with the Astros in July of last year.
