George County senior receiver Tyrese Fryfogle picked up his first Division I offer on Wednesday from Idaho.

The Vandals' defensive coordinator, Mike Breske, called Fryfogle Wednesday morning to tell him he had a scholarship waiting on him at the Moscow, Idaho, school.

Breske followed Fryfogle recently on Twitter in order to get in touch with him.

“He said they watched my film and they loved it,” Fryfogle said.

Idaho is currently a football-only member of the Sun Belt Conference, but will be moving into the Big Sky Conference in 2017.

Fryfogle was named to the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team in 2015 following a breakout junior season that included 52 catches for 919 yards and eight touchdowns.

Fryfogle, the son of former Ole Miss receiver Trey Fryfogle, has a big weekend coming up with plans to attend a camp at Southern Miss on Friday and another at Alabama on Saturday.

“I really want to make a big impression on Southern Miss,” Tyrese Fryfogle said.

USM tight ends coach Desmond Lindsey has been staying in touch with the receiver. He's also had discussions with Troy and South Carolina.
