Tyreek Hill Shares Injury Recovery Video Amid NFL Return Rumors

Last year, Tyreek Hill saw his NFL season end way earlier than anticipated when he suffered a dislocated knee in the Miami Dolphins‘ Week 4 game against the New York Jets.

After further evaluation, it was determined he needed surgery to repair a torn ACL, also meaning he’d been on a long road to recovery. However, the surgery was successful with all indications that he’d be able to return for the 2026 season.

Earlier this year, the Dolphins released him after four seasons there, but Hill said he still plays to make an NFL return. On Sunday, he gave everyone an exclusive look at some of his offseason recovery efforts in a new video upload.

“See y’all on the other side of the battle,” he says, lying in a hospital bed with a large black cast wrapped around his injured leg.

The one-minute video, called “Cheetah, Reborn – Intro,” features additional scenes of the eight-time Pro Bowler and 2023 receiving yards leader working out and meeting with doctors.

Passionate speeches from the FX drama series “Snowfall” also play over the video as Hill trains for his potential return. The video also closes with a bit of a tease as a doctor asks Hill if he plans on trying to do something after his injury or just live his life.

Hill laughs and begins to answer, but the video mutes his comments before it ends, so nobody knows what was said but him and that doctor.

Another NFL team will need to decide to add Hill to their roster for the upcoming season, before he can officially return, and his injury situation may mean he’s not available for a full season. One team that surfaced in chatter about potentially reunite with Hill last month is the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hill previously played for the Chiefs from 2016 to 2021 and was part of the team’s Super Bowl LIV win over the San Francisco 49ers. He had nine catches for over 105 receiving yards, the most of any player Mahomes threw to during the championship win.

Many of Hill’s Pro Bowl appearances also came with the Chiefs, so he has the history there, and the relationship with coach Andy Reid and the various roster members still there, including Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

During their offseason, the Chiefs made a huge move by acquiring Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III to fill their running back spot, taking some of the pressure off Mahomes, who is also returning from a torn ACL injury.

One has to think there is a team out there willing to take a chance on a player of Hill’s caliber for the upcoming season. He had a career-best season in 2023 with Miami, showing his ability to make a strong contribution when healthy and on the field. He’s played in 145 games in his NFL career and racked up 83 touchdowns and 11,363 receiving yards.

The major concern is the nature of his injury and whether he is limited when he finally returns to play. That said, he can always change his mind and not return if he doesn’t find an ideal roster situation for the 2026 season.
