Former Knicks Player Donte DiVincenzo Spotted in NYC Before Game 3

It appears Donte DiVincenzo is in New York City to support his former Knicks squad.

DiVincenzo was spotted in the city on Monday afternoon, just hours before the Knicks take the court for their first NBA Finals home game since 1999. He’s close personal friends with New York players Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges - who all shared the court together as collegiate teammates for the Villanova Wildcats.

DiVincenzo played one season for the Knicks in 2023-24, averaging 15.5 points per game. However, he was traded to Minnesota alongside Julius Randle in a blockbuster deal that landed Karl-Anthony Towns in New York before the 2024-25 NBA season.

DiVincenzo, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during the Timberwolves’ first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, was spotted with a walking boot and crutches.

"[DiVincenzo] was a groomsman at my wedding, so that should tell you everything you need to know about our relationship," Brunson said after the Knicks traded DiVincenzo to the Timberwolves. "I love him to death, and we'll see him soon."

“It's not fun at all to lose [DiVincenzo and Randle] like that, but I wish them nothing but the best and know that those guys are my brothers for real,” Brunson added at the time.
