Ready to talk college football? The Ole Miss football coach is coming to South Mississippi

The calendar says April, but you’re already ready to talk college football?

Ole Miss has just the thing for you.

The school announced this week that head coach Lane Kiffin, other staff coaches and players from the Rebels football team will make an in-person appearance on the Mississippi Coast this month.

The event is set for the evening hours of April 28, with ticket details and a location yet to be announced.

The fan event is part of the launch of the “Grove Collective Caravan,” the school said in a press release. The caravan will make several stops this spring, including in Jackson, Tupelo and Houston, Texas.

“With student-athletes joining our coaches and others in these events, we look forward to fans building an even stronger connection with our program at the meetings,” said Ole Miss Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter, who will be among the speakers.

Ole Miss is not holding a 2025 spring football game, so the hope is that the caravan builds interest in the program.

“By including our student-athlete ambassadors in this type of tour for the first time, we hope to elevate the fan experience for the meetings, “ said Grove Collective director Walker Jones.

In addition to the speakers, the caravan will feature a social hour for Gulf Coast Rebels fans, including photo opportunities with the Golden Egg and other trophies. Fans will also enjoy refreshments, merchandise, posters and videos about the school.

Ole Miss kicks off the 2025 football season on Aug. 30 with a home game against the Georgia State Panthers.
