PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) -- Humberto Arteaga hit a two-run single in the second inning, leading the Omaha Storm Chasers to an 11-10 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Sunday.
The single by Arteaga started the scoring in a five-run inning and tied the game 4-4. Later in the inning, Omaha took the lead when Arteaga scored on an error and then added to it when Cheslor Cuthbert hit an RBI single and Erick Mejia hit an RBI double.
The Baby Cakes saw their comeback attempt come up short after Monte Harrison hit a grand slam in the eighth inning to help cut the Omaha lead to 11-10.
Bubba Starling singled three times, also stealing two bases for Omaha.
Omaha starter Scott Blewett (2-0) picked up the win despite allowing five runs and six hits over five innings. Opposing starter Joe Gunkel (0-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after allowing seven runs and nine hits over two innings.
In the losing effort, the Baby Cakes scored a season-high 10 runs. Isaac Galloway homered and doubled, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple for the Baby Cakes. Matt Snyder homered and singled, driving home three runs.
