The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued several watches and warnings for the Coast due to the system currently moving through the area.

A flash flood warning is in effect until midnight for Harrison County. Currently, heavy rain is falling, and this could lead to the flash flooding of small creeks and streams, as well as low-lying areas.

There also is a tornado watch in effect until 1 a.m. for Harrison and Jackson counties.

This weather system is moving slowly through South Mississippi, and could cause up to five inches of rain in some areas.
