The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a tornado warning for Hancock and Harrison counties until 4 p.m.
At about 3 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was spotted west of Waveland and was moving east.
Thunderstorms are expected to be severe between midnight and 9 a.m. A cold front will move into the area about daybreak and after that, the rain chances will decrease.
