An early-morning fire that destroyed Grimes Cabinets and Tops near Promenade Parkway is under control and a traffic alert for the area has been lifted.
Fire Chief Gerald Smith says the blaze at the long-time business on Old Highway 67 was reported about 5 a.m., and the fire was fully involved when firefighters arrived.
The business had not opened for the day and no injuries were reported.
Smith said the blaze began inside the building. The fire was under control before 10 a.m.
