The National Weather Service has canceled the tornado watch in Harrison County. A tornado watch still is in effect for portions of Jackson County.
A strong line of thunderstorms moved through the area to the east at about 40 mph.
The weather service also issued a flash flood watch for the three coastal counties and Pearl River County. These areas could get up to two inches of rain, and flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
