Hancock High boys basketball coach Scott St. Pierre has resigned his position, officials said.
St. Pierre, who had been put on paid leave, resigned today, said Hancock County Superintendent Alan Dedeaux.
Dedeaux said his resignation was accepted.
Athletic director Shawn Keener told the Sun Herald on Tuesday the “coach is on paid leave due to personnel issues that I cannot discuss.”

Keener said assistant coach Maurice Singleton will coach the Hawks until further notice.
The school board meets tonight and will discuss a permanent replacement for St. Pierre, Dedeaux said.
The Hawks have won seven of their first 11 games.
Hancock went 14-17 last season, but advanced to the 6A South State tournament as the Division 8-6A runner-up in under Chris Biehl.
It was Hancock’s first postseason berth in hoops since 1991.
