Biloxi City Council tables funding request from Ohr

The Biloxi City Council has tabled a request by representatives of the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art for money to help with operating expenses.

The murseum met with the council earlier today and asked the city to contribute $116,000 a year for insurance, $120,000 for utilities plus $120,000 for maintenance and landscaping.

Asked how long the museum can stay open, Ohr treasurer Chevis Swetmann said, "Basically, we're getting close to D-Day."
