The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) just announced a temporary road closure on I-10 in Hancock County. Due to a grass fire that has crossed the median on I-10, all lanes between Mile Marker 9 and 10 have been temporarily closed to allow emergency crews to respond. Eastbound traffic is being routed to Exit 2 while all westbound traffic is being routed to Exit 13. U.S. 90 will be used as a temporary detour. This closure is expected to reopen at approximately 7 p.m.
