An autopsy of serviceman Barrett Andrew Snyder showed the Pennsylvania man drowned about a week ago, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said this morning.
Biloxi police released Snyder’s name earlier today and asked for the public’s help to find anyone who spoke with him or saw him before he died.
Snyder’s body was found floating across from Miramar Park around 11:45 a.m. Sunday.
Detectives said they found Snyder’s black 2009 Subaru Legacy this morning. It was parked on Caillivet Street.
Police said Snyder, 24, was in the Air Force and was visiting Biloxi on his way to Texas.
Authorities said family and friends last heard from him in the early-morning hours of Feb. 21.
It’s likely he has been dead since then, the coroner said.
Anyone with information about his final activities is asked to call the Biloxi Police Department’s criminal investigation division at 435-6112 or police dispatchers at 392-0641.
