A convicted felon and a Gautier woman are the latest suspects arrested in connection with Tuesday's home invasion that resulted in a 58-year-old woman being bound tied and attacked in her home in Cambridge Square subdivision, police said.
Shellia Guzman, 36, is charged with accessory after the fact and Booker Rankins Jr., is charged with being a possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Already arrested in the case is Marcus Lindell Wess, charged with kidnapping, sexual battery, aggravated assault and grand larceny. He's now charged with an additional count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The woman was found restrained in her bedroom Tuesday afternoon more than 24 hours after first being tied and bound in her bedroom. Neighbors called police after they noticed her front door ajar. Police found her Tuesday afternoon.
