Skeletal remains found off Rodenberg Avenue this morning may be those of Robert Dale Krider, a Texas man reported missing in July, police said.
Krider’s wallet was found near the remains, police Sgt. Christopher DeBack said.
Krider, 53 and a dry-wall worker, was staying at the Super 8 hotel on Beach Boulevard when he disappeared.
“Dr. Paul McGarry will use DNA or dental records to confirm the identity,” DeBack said.

McGarry, who performs most autopsies in South Mississippi, and Harrison County Deputy Coroner Charles Wise joined police at the scene after the remains were found by a man operating a bush-hog around 9 a.m.
Police are continuing to search the area for anything that could explain what happened. The area is across from Stevens Street, just north of the railroad tracks.
DeBack said the cause of death remains under investigation.
Anyone with information about Krider is asked to call Biloxi police dispatchers at 392-0641, the Criminal Investigations Division at 435-6112, or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-9877-787-5898.
