Northrop Grumman employees have the situation under control after an electrical explosion caused a fire at the shipyard's west bank, according to the Pascagoula Fire Department. Firefighters said first reports indicate an acetylene line busted around 7:35 a.m. on a wet dock near a boat where shipbuilders were working. Pascagoula firefighters headed to the shipyard but turned around after learning Northrop Grumman had the aftermath under control. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said it was under control in less than 30 minutes, posing no danger to the hundreds who were at work.. "It's just a lot of smoke by now," Byrd said.
