The Mississippi Highway Patrol has cancelled an Amber Alert issued earlier today for a child abducted in Lamar County.

The Highway Patrol issued a follow up saying the child has been found and the suspect is in custody.

Authorities had asked residents to be on the lookout for a 2002 white four-door Ford Focus with a Scott County license plate CSI 431 with a man and a boy in the vehicle.

The adult was identified as 30-year-old Cedric Deshun Martin, a black male, 6 feet tall, about 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The child was identified as Xavier Deshun Martin, 2 years old, black male with long, black braided hair and brown eyes. He is about 3 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 34 pounds.

Martin was last seen Friday after he released the child's mother. He is believed to be in the Madison area and is considered extremely dangerous by law enforcement officials.
