JACKSON COUNTY - Tosha Caudillo, 21, has died and one of two children with her when their Jeep submerged is on life support, said Sheriff Mike Byrd.
Jaden Hotoph is in intensive care at a Mobile hospital and her sister, Trinity Hotoph, is also hospitalized but is in good condition. Byrd said he has received different reports on Jaden's age, from 10 months to about 2 years old, but hasn't been able to confirm it.
Their grandmother, Tammy Hotoph, in her 40s, was the only one in good condition after their Jeep ran off Wade-Vancleave Road near the Pascagoula Bridge around 4:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Caudillo, the driver of the 1995 Jeep Cherokee, was travelling westbound "at a minimum of 64 mph in a 40 or 45 mph zone," Byrd said.
