The National Weather Service in New Orleans is watching a weather system that is headed for South Mississippi, weather officials said. Rupert Lacy, director of the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency, said the service is monitoring this unstable weather pattern that could bring strong thunderstorms and possibly some hail to this area.
Wind gusts could reach 40 mph.
This weather system is moving in advance of a front that will make conditions much colder in South Mississippi on Saturday night and Sunday.
Sunherald.com will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates throughout the day.
