The attorneys for Mayor Brent Warr and his wife, Laura, indicated in federal court today they will be asking for a delay in their Katrina fraud trial, currently set for April.
Prosecutors and the Warrs' attorneys were in court this morning to argue whether the government would have to give them more specific information on four mail fraud charges related to their insurance payments.
The Warrs also are charged with 12 other counts involving theft of homeowner grant and FEMA funds.
U.S. Magistrate John M. Roper did rule that prosecutors would have to supply more specific information about the Warrs' personal property and structural damage claims for a beachfront home Katrina gutted in 2005.
