William Thomas, 21, of Mobile, has been identified as the suspect in a robbery today at the Trustmark Bank on Sangani Boulevard, D'Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne said.
Thomas was arrested shortly after the robbery was reported at 10:51 a.m. A bank teller said the suspect presented a note and demanded cash.
A Harrison County sheriff's deputy spotted Thomas in the getaway car and was able to stop him minutes after the robbery at Mississippi 15 and Lamey Bridge Road.
Payne said Thomas apparently ingested several Tylenol PM pills once authorities started to chase him. As a result, Thomas was taken by ambulance to Biloxi Regional Medical Center for treatment.Thomas is facing a bank robbery charge.
