Sound Off: Does a Biloxi stoplight switch too fast?
Timing is all wrong
To the traffic light guru: Can someone please fix the timing of the new lights at Cedar Lake and Popp’s Ferry? Five seconds going left or right. And a wait time of three to four minutes going north and south.
Void of morals
Hillary is moral? That is without a doubt the most naive, ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time! Sadly many educated people actually believe this woman is honest and moral and has the best interest of this country in her heart. Laughable, but seriously sad.
Abide by law
Jackson County NAACP President Curley Clark said a mouthful when he said, “Comply, comply, comply.” A picture of a defiant mother standing in a street she was told not to stand in went “viral” recently as a statement of rebellion. The sharing of the photograph online implies support. While what she did was brave, it was also stupid and against the law. Comply, comply, comply! Abide by the law and you will have very few problems with police.
Communication is key
More people carry guns in their autos. Drivers and law enforcement need a way to communicate during a traffic stop. Men carry their wallets in a back pocket, and that’s a problem when you reach for it. When stopped, keep your hands on the steering wheel in full sight. Before starting your auto and going on highway, in event you are stopped, place in view your gun permit, insurance, driver’s license, papers. Let officers know before moving your hands. Inform them where the gun is while your hands are still on the steering wheel. Respect, obey commands and no one should be harmed. Officers have to assume the worse in order to stay alive. Ladies, do the same. Don’t argue, and be still.
Not the truck’s fault
Will President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer call for a ban on trucks following the deadly rampage in Nice, France? That would be a stupid response. Exactly! So it is with the constant argument for more gun regulation. The terrorists and criminals will merely adapt. The lethality will be no less. It isn’t the tool but the individual and ideology at fault.
Honesty is best
Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg may have apologized, but I am so glad she spoke her mind. I wish more people in public office would be so honest and say what they really think.
Ideas for slides?
What to do with Kodak carousels full of old Kodak slides? Fortunately the slides were transferred to a disc years ago. Estates might have some ideas.
