Donald Trump can’t keep up with money matters; Face it, Oprah’s network is struggling

Enforce the law

Gulfport . . . either make U.S. 49 back to three lanes heading into downtown or start enforcing those who abuse the turning lanes. Ridiculous!

Shut them down

Step up or shut up. The KKK is a lame group consisting of people who fear being seen; some would call them cowards. They aren’t bold enough to show their ugly mugs. It’s time for Mississippians to rise up and shut down this organization.

On its OWN

In response to “It’s up to each voter,” yes, Oprah had been talking about retiring for many years. When you host a show and endorse, you stand the chance of alienating your viewers, which is what happened to Oprah when she endorsed Obama. That prompted her to set a retirement date and bow out gracefully rather than to have her syndication canceled. As for OWN, it is much different owning a network than a syndication. People do not watch a “network.” They watch programming and OWN does not have big name lineups like others, such as ABC, FOX, etc. Yes, OWN is struggling, and I know that’s hard for you to accept.

Bridge opening?

Does anyone know when the new Lorraine Road bridge is scheduled to open? At the beginning, they said it would be June 1. Last report I heard was that they were on or ahead of schedule, but it is still not finished. Any news on that?

Rescind this law

What is wrong with you people? The worst law ever passed is the open gun carry law. Now when I turn on the local news, all I hear is someone got shot or killed. I do vote, so I say, amend this law. Take it away. Make it a federal crime to kill someone when they use a gun. Only allow handguns for people who think they need one. No assault rifles!

Money matters

In May, Trump tweeted: “Good news is that my campaign has perhaps more cash than any campaign in the history of politics.” But, according to official records, his campaign actually began June with just $1.3 million on hand — compared with the $42 million Hillary had raised. For a guy who brags, “I understand money better than anybody” — how can he not know what a huge hole he’s in? Amazing!
