Sound Off for March 2

Please explain

Can anyone tell me, why do places that serve food always have to have loud music playing when you're trying to eat a peaceful meal?

God and guns

Many people don't believe in guns or God. But, when someone breaks into their home, they want to call someone with a gun to come help them. And then they pray that they get there in time.

Liberal vs. conservative

A conservative teaches a man how to fish, and he provides for himself. A liberal gives a man a fish and he votes for the liberal. The liberal then gives him food stamps.

Simple answer

Regarding enforce speed limits comment, it is this simple: only use the left lane to pass other vehicles on interstates or when there is an emergency on the road shoulder. Obey the law and never try to police other drivers who break the law. Law enforcement can't be everywhere, but it is not John Q. Public's job to try and make others slow down.

Thank you

I was standing in Walmart parking lot when a very sweet young lady handed me a lovely bouquet of flowers and said, "Have a nice day." Thank you so much. That was so nice. Made my day. Will pass it on. Thank you.

How to catch them

Someone in Sound Off asked how the Alabama police would know you had been driving for 1 and a 1/2 miles in the left lane. Easy, just stop anyone in the left lane driving at or below the speed limit and has a Mississippi tag. Safe bet they have been driving at least the last 25 miles in the left lane.

Thanks for the lunch

To the very generous person(s) who paid for my lunch today in the Taco Bell drive-thru, thank you very much. My colleagues and I have had a rough month. You are an awesome reminder of why we do what we do everyday. Again, thank you!

Lane change

Here is a simple answer to slow drivers in the passing land. A driver changing lane has the right of way. That's it. If you go to change from right to left lane, turn on the left-turn signal. You then have right of way, cars behind lets you in. Same thing going from left lane to the right. No more of fast drivers pinning you in. That's what they do in France. I don't know if its a law or just courtesy, but it works. Everyone should just start doing it. It will catch on.
