Scary politics

It was just a tie in Iowa, but he beat the pants suit off her in New Hampshire.

No class

Trump proves a business degree and lots of money don't have to add up to a classy guy.

Recuse yourself

Supervisor Barry Cumbest should not be allowed to vote on any matters concerning the Lake George project since there is an obvious conflict of interest.

Part of the problem

If you think reducing the deficit is great news while our national debt has increased from $10 trillion to $19 trillion under Obama, you, my friend, are part of the problem. If you don't understand what I just said, you, my friend, are part of the problem.

Better use of money

To quote a classic song, "Lord, we don't need another mountain." The absolute last thing this town needs is another casino. If you have an extra $140 million lying around, invest it in research that can get to the root of human behavior.

Bad choices

None of the candidates is what the country needs. Donald's unfiltered mouth and tendency for bankruptcy are a formula for disaster. Bernie's socialist progressive visions will only make this train wreck more catastrophic, and Hillary just wants the power.

Buy free range

I recently learned that most chicken farms keep the birds in cages, usually so many to a cage that the birds cannot even flap their wings. The chickens are confined like this all their life and this also goes for most egg farms. This is cruelty to animals, and we as consumers of chicken and eggs can change this by making sure we buy eggs and chicken from free-range farmers. Do your research. Most free-range farms are happy to note it on the packaging.

Flooding problem

No rain in four days but there is still water standing in my and the neighbors' yards. With the first building built on the corner of Taylor and Lorraine roads, my neighbors and I have had rain water standing in our yards. This problem is increasing with the building of another building. My anxiety increases with each weather report that forecasts rain. If the City Council and planning commissioners are permitting construction, will you please also give a thought to the surrounding houses/property? Do not create a problem there was none. Give thought to the people who have lived in these areas for many years.
