Climate change is the No. 1 threat to the free world? Surely you jest. I dare say we should be much more concerned about the increasing deadly threat from terrorists.

How many premeditated shootings that result in severe bodily harm does it take before a known violent criminal stays in prison?

Not fun and games

Bomb threats are not harmless pranks. They are acts of terrorism and anyone who makes them should be prosecuted as an adult and a terrorist.

Arrest the johns

Why aren't the men who solicit the sex slaves arrested? If it weren't for them there would not be a business.

Right on, Willie!

When Willie Nelson was honored Nov. 18 as one of our greatest Americans, he brought down the house with this one from1986: "Living In the Promised Land." Here's the part we need to remember: "Give us your tired and weak / And we will make them strong. Bring us your foreign songs / And we will sing along. Leave us your broken dreams / We'll give them time to mend. There's still a lot of love, Living in the promised land."

What dat?

Whilst standing in a line today at a downtown Gulfport bank, customers were startled to hear a sudden rendition of "When the Saints Come Marching In," and for a moment I thought we were being surprised by the bank in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, and that, since it was the noon hour, some food might be rolled out. Alas, it was a customer who answered his cell phone and proceeded to yak within hearing of all present. I mean, how are the tellers supposed to concentrate with all this stuff nowadays? Sir, you should have gone outside, then commenced yapping.
