Sound Off for Nov. 23
Hillary Clinton wants to make changes to our healthcare law. Hasn't enough damage been done with the implementation of Obamacare? Some insurance carriers such as United Healthcare and Humana are sustaining large losses and are threatening to withdraw from Obamacare. Let Obamacare die a natural death and permit states to use Medicaid and related programs to help those that need financial aid for healthcare.
Us first
We don't need 10,000 refugees coming to America. We can't take care of our own homeless or those in poverty. Help refugees another way. Our own must come first.
Not just greed
Liberals either don't understand or don't want to understand free markets. They do not believe or don't want to believe there is a direct relationship between wages, prices, costs and sales. Ideologically, they believe greed prevents business owners from adequately paying employees. Business owners I know are not greedy. They rather want their business to survive, if not thrive, so that they may continue to pay their workers an increasing wage that is earned by their productivity, not earned for just showing up for work.
WWJD
I would take Syrian refugees into my home. After all, what would Jesus do? Conversely, if the moderate Muslim world fails to take overt action against the terrorists within the next 13 months, in my opinion they are equally culpable. By the way, ever notice the balance of power in the Middle East has gone to hell ever since the neo-cons wasted Saddam Hussein?
Time for change
Looks like a need for football coaching changes in N.O. and Red Stick: Tulane, Da Saints and the Tigers too!
Pay up
Hey law breakers who are complaining that you can't pay your fines and are suing city governments, if you can't pay the fine, don't do the crime. Why are you speeding and breaking the law and trying to justify your crime by saying you shouldn't pay for it?
Paranoia
Our national intelligence agencies are vetting the refugees and that is why it takes so long to do. They remain out of the country until these agencies give approval. The new bill is a repeat of what is being done but adding much more time before allowing them in, which can be inhumane to those suffering. The rest of the world is seeing a paranoid United States.
Conserving all
Conservatives are the perfect name for people that conserve their compassion, humanity, love thy neighbor, integrity, logic, common sense, and trust. But I would just call it selfish.
