Wednesday's paper is laid out so easy to read. The stories on 1A are continued on the last page so you just turn section A around to continue reading. Easier than finding page 5A etc. Thanks!
What I saw
I was at the same place in Hurley that Michael Watson was last night and contrary to what the reporter said he said it appeared to me that except for the special interest people everyone in the room was against the dams.
Easy access
There's not much point in blocking Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. If a terrorist wants to come here all they have to do is climb the fence at the Mexican border, and they'll have free reign in our country.
Bad conversation
I am sitting in an oncologist's waiting room and two women are talking about cancer, how it "always" comes back and the people they've known who have died with it. Do you really think cancer patients want to hear that?

Wow! Leonard Pitts' Charlie Brown op-ed piece on Wednesday left me with a lump in my throat and wiping away a tear. What a sweet article.
Where will they be?
I have heard several times in the past week that there will be a very strict vetting process before allowing Syrian refugees loose into this country and that the process takes 18 months to 2 years to complete. My question is this -- where are the refugees during this period? Will they be housed in some detention center here for two years while they are being investigated? If so, that's a recipe for disaster.
Good for them
Hats off to the many governors who appear to be looking out for their good citizens and refuse refugee resettlement. Too bad our president still touts the liberal mantra and instead of quelling fear and inspiring strong leadership -- he states he will accept Syrian refugees.
Keep it clean
C'mon, folks! Didn't your mothers ever teach you not to litter? I moved the Coast a year ago and am now regretting having purchased a home. There is trash and garbage on the sides of every roadway in the area.
