Sound Off for Nov. 8
I really like the new Sun Herald PM Newsletter emails. Keeps me up on the latest news. Thank you, Sun Herald.
Carson didn't say it
Regardless of what Politico says, Ben Carson never claimed he applied to West Point. He did say Gen. Westmoreland offered to help him get an appointment. All the Democrats need to do is get Gen. Westmoreland (deceased) to deny Carson's story. They should be able to pull that off. After all, they somehow get dead voters to vote!
What unicorns?
Sen. Harry Reid blocked Kate's Law, which would protect Americans from heinous, criminal illegal aliens! Yep, the country is in such better shape with Obama at the reins these past seven years. Nothing but rainbows and unicorns. Puhleeze. Shame on every Congressman who votes against Kate's Law. You are not looking out for your fellow Americans.
Money not the problem
On the Top 10 items on the list of things to improve Mississippi (for that matter most of the nation's public schools) more money would not be found. Money is not the problem and furthermore it never has been.
Pick up the signs
Two friends' churches allow space to be used as voting precincts. Friday, in both locations, three days after the election, some campaign signs persist. When it's time to put signs out, there are plenty of energetic volunteers. Don't you realize that leaving signs out so long after the election reflects poorly on the very person you pledged to support? As well as disrespecting the church grounds?
Unquestionably good
I just saw Center Stage's production of "A Lady in Question" and it was fantastic! It is a stellar performance by all involved! From the set, costumes, stage managing, lighting, sound, directing and acting, this play is comparable to any Broadway play I have ever seen. I would recommend it to anyone. It is well worth the ticket price. To the cast and crew, break a leg on the rest of your run.
