Sound Off for Nov. 4

Faulty logic

The 4-Way Stop -- it wrongly assumes that four rational-thinking persons will arrive at each corner and understand who goes next.

More info

I would like to know about how much I should pay for a TV antenna and a good place to purchase one. What nine stations did the reader pick up? Thanks.

No comparison

I'm from the South. Comparing the Rebel flag to the Nazi flag is a disgusting comparison. No one could be so evil as the Nazis. Take the flag down. I don't care anymore, but don't compare my ancestors to Hitler and the Nazis.

Respect?

Republican candidates want to say outrageous things and make ridiculous statements, then they expect the rest of us to treat these contemptuous comments as if they deserve to be treated seriously. Want respect? Act respectful. Nothing less will do.

The Stacker

I purchased "The Stacker" more than two years ago. If you find the website, you will see it is more truthful and informative than any of the others. Although it looks like the old-type antenna, it provides me with 49 channels that are free over the airwaves. Most are better than what cable or dish companies offer. They also sell boosters for low-powered fringe stations and a booster for indoors if you have more than one TV. Hope this helps those looking for an alternative.

Get on board

The Republican Party better start thinking about backing Trump or Carson because the true conservatives in this country are wanting a real change in government. If the so-called party doesn't get behind one of them, we will have Hillary for eight years. I for one will not vote for one of our Mississippi congressmen to return to Washington. These people have forgotten why conservatives have sent them to Congress.

Bad odds

For the past several months, there has been a media and mail blitz from a certain company advertising that if you win their sweepstakes, you will be awarded $10,000 a month for life. Buried in their handouts is a small piece of paper titled Official Rules. Within the rules, there is a Sweepstakes Facts column of figures with a notation of the estimated odds of winning, which are 1,700,000,000 to 1. That is more than the population of China and the United States combined. As the old-timers say, don't count your chickens before they hatch.
