Great win
What a great win for the United States men’s soccer team over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Let’s hope they can keep it going against Belgium.
World Cup
The World Cup has been amazing. The games have been fantastic, and the crowds have been incredible. If you’re not watching, you should definitely tune in.
Sanctuary?
Everyone in the good ol’ USA can feel safe and secure. We sleep good at night, with no worries. We let our children romp and roam again, with no problem. This makes America the safest place on the planet. Yes, unless you live in a sanctuary city or state. Then others get a pass because it’s taboo to question the newcomers. That’s considered racist. Look at European news, unedited, for the results of such thinking. It’s only going to snowball. The call to prayer is coming to a community near you.
Transgender athletes
Republicans erroneously muse that the transgender issue is the biggest and most important thing that will decide the midterms in their favor. They also never speak about biological women playing in men’s sports. It’s clear that their homophobia only applies to one group of transgender athletes.
All this talk
There is so much chatter about transgenders playing in sports that I decided to look it up. On the college level there are 510,000 people playing in sports, of which less than 10 are transgender. High school records are harder to get because of age protections but it is believed to be even less than college. Since we are talking about nationally less than 20 transgender people playing in high school and college sports, can’t we just leave it up to the schools and concern ourselves with matters that more directly effect us all?
President Crypto
President Trump has rolled out policies the crypto industry has been cheering, and now reports more than $1.4 billion in income from crypto ventures, including his own meme coin. This is the same man who lectures Congress about insider trading and using public office for personal financial gain. Apparently, profiting from government influence is only wrong when someone else does it. Am I the only one who thinks it’s more than a little hypocritical, and simply inappropriate, for a sitting president to be cashing in this way?
Even right-leaning outlets see it
From the NY Post, which has never been any bastion of liberal thinking: “Insider deals, finders’ fees and backdoor introductions to family members are business-as-usual in Third World banana republics, but these slimy practices have now been normalized in the White House, to the shame of the nation.”
Democrats
Americans aren’t buying Democrats’ communist agenda and know that every single one of them voted against the largest tax refund in history.
Expanding the Supreme Court
Listen to what the Democrats say when the subject of expanding the Supreme Court comes up.
America 250
It should probably be a bigger story that there was a normal bipartisan America 250 organization, but then President Trump decided to launch his own competing right wing grift version and ruined everything.
No crowds
FOX News can tell me how great the crowd is, but when the camera behind them shows a giant, empty grass field, it’s kind of hard to believe.
What a shame
America 250 should have been a giant celebration. Instead, it’s turned into ... whatever it is that President Trump and his team are trotting out there.
