WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 14: National Park Service employees work to clean up algae in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool following the completion of recent renovations on June 14, 2026 in Washington, DC. The reflecting pool construction project started in April and work was completed last week as part of President Donald Trump's plan ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary. Reflecting pool

From CBS News, which is now led by Trump-supporting Bari Weiss: Paint was seen peeling from the floor of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, weeks after a $14 million renovation that included a new color President Trump called “American Flag Blue.” Great work, everyone.

Mr. Fix-it

Looks like we can add the Reflecting Pool and the Iran Nuclear Deal to the list of things that weren’t broken until the president tried to fix them.

Same old thing

The ballroom, the Reflecting Pool and the Iran deal are great examples of why you shouldn’t over-promise and under-deliver.

“Biden’s fault”

It’s honestly hilarious that the Trump Administration’s immediate response to everything that goes wrong is “It’s Biden’s fault.” We spent all kinds of money to needlessly fix the Reflecting Pool and now I’m being told that there’s a problem, but it’s Biden’s fault? Maybe we should have fixed that when we spent all the money on the nonsensical “repairs.”

What’s going on?

Just days after an illegal alien plotted to attack thousands of Americans at the White House, Michigan Democrat Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed calls to abolish ICE: “ICE can’t be reformed, it can’t be retrained, it has to be abolished.”

Listen to the vice president

From JD Vance: “The President was very right about immigration in a way that was prescient — and even if the blunt way that he described it offended some people, I think it was a very important contribution to not just our country, but to the world.”

Democrats

Communism has taken over the Democrat party. From FOX News: “Medicare for all. College for all. Tax the rich. Green New Deal. Free Palestine. On and on and on. The reason why Democrats keep running these far-left candidates is because that is where the Democratic Party is now.”

Don’t drive in it

People, have we not figured it out by now? Stay off the roads when it rains like it did late last week. And if you absolutely must be on the roads, stay far away from moving water.

Thanks

Thank you, first responders, for the work you do during emergency situations. It’s a shame so many of our residents aren’t willing to protect themselves.

Ballroom funding

Is it really such a good idea to transfer $350 million from Secret Service funding to build a new luxury East Wing ballroom? I have a better idea: let the MMA fighters who recently turned the White House into a sporting venue handle security. It would probably be cheaper, and at least we’d know Michelle Obama isn’t a threat. Apparently the real danger facing the nation is a shortage of ballroom space.

The buck stops ... somewhere else

If you objected to the war with Iran, don’t blame the Donald, it was all Pete’s idea. If you don’t like the terms of the agreement so far, don’t blame the Donald, it was all JD’s doing. If you aren’t happy with the economy, don’t blame the Donald, it’s all Joe’s fault. Just what is this innocent bystander we call the President responsible for anyway?

Immigrants

My spouse and her family legally immigrated to the USA. Most of her relatives legally immigrated to the USA in the late 60’s. My daughter-in-law is a legal immigrant from another country. All the illegals that the Democrats allowed into the USA need to leave.
